WEEK 10 15/11/11 Creative Draping on the Stand

Looking back at all the weeks we were asked to make experimental draping on the stand using calico. Taking inspiration from shapes obtained from previous exercises we played with calico. There were some shapes in my previous work I thought were successful to use within this project. I liked the large scale paper folding but also deconstructing the jacket. Both I used while draping on the stand.
First we made foundation which is used for drapings...

WEEK 9 8/11/11 Pleating workshop

And we have learnt how to make such a pleating...

This are the templates made of cardboard which are used to make a different types of pleating on the fabric. After the introduction we were making our own paper templates and then we used it to make pleating on the calico.
